Green Homes Grant to Close to New Applications

BEIS has issued a press release this evening (Saturday 27th March) announcing that the  Green Homes Grant will close to new applications from 5pm on Wednesday.

The main part of it states

"The Green Homes Grant Voucher Scheme launched last year will close to new applications on 31 March at 5pm. The scheme was designed to provide a short-term economic boost while tackling our contribution to climate change. Applications made before the end of March deadline will be processed."

A separate email from one of the directors at BEIS to the people working on the Green Homes Grant Project at BEIS provides the following

"I want to reassure you that all valid applications received up to 5pm on 31^st March will be processed and vouchers in the system will continue to be issued, meaning that delivery of installations on the ground will continue over the coming months, supporting jobs in the industry and delivering much needed upgrades to households."
