Rumour of Green Homes Grants Vouchers being delayed until 30th November squashed by BEIS

November 30th Delay Rumour Squashed

This week there has been a rumour circulating that the IT system for customers to access their Green Homes Grant Voucher has been delayed until 30th November.

This rumour has been entirely denied by the Dept for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), who have insisted everything is still on track for the first week in November.

A spokesperson for BEIS has confirmed, " this message went out in error and the system is still due to go live in early November as we discussed previously. Obviously we are extremely sorry that this incorrect message went out, we are taking measures to ensure that this does not happen again."

It seems that following the transfer of responsibility for customer communications from BEIS to the Scheme Administrator, one of the call centres being run be the Scheme Administrator had sent out a generic response email to a number of customers with the wrong date on it.

The EEA has confirmed with BEIS that emails will be issued this week to all customers that received the wrong date correcting the error.

Any customers or installers that have been told that there will be a delay, and have not had a correction should contact the EEA and we will help you get clarification from the Scheme Administrator
