In this consultation stage the BSI wants to encourage the widest possible input into BS 40104: Retrofit assessment for domestic dwellings – Code of Practice to make it as robust and effective as possible.
The BSI said there is a ‘pressing need to improve the energy efficiency of UK homes to reduce fuel poverty and CO2 emissions, as well as to improve health and well-being’.
This new standard will supersede PAS2035:2023 clauses 7.3 and 7.4 so will have an impact on how retrofit assessments are carried out.
We would urge EEA members who are likely to be impacted by this to comment at https://standardsdevelopment.bsigroup.com/Projects/2022-00570#/section by 22nd September.
