The Energy Efficiency Association’s Energy Efficiency Policy conference and exhibition, where industry experts and politicians discuss cutting-edge developments and pressing issues about energy efficiency.
The conference will address what the industry needs to do to ensure improved uptake of energy efficiency measures and what we can do to overcome barriers that often threaten the delivery of such schemes. This vital event also offers unrivalled networking opportunities to discuss energy efficiency with those at the heart of our industry.

On the day, we will see over 150 leading installers, managing agents, funding providers, manufacturers, certification bodies, local authorities, housing associations, policy makers, and industry luminaries come together.

Before founding the EEA, Gary was instrumental in the creation of the Energy Efficiency Awards, which he has successfully managed for the past decade. These awards have become a cornerstone of the industry, highlighting and celebrating excellence in energy efficiency. With a professional background in publishing and sales, Gary brings a wealth of experience in communication and stakeholder engagement. His expertise has been pivotal in driving the success of the initiatives he leads. In his personal life, Gary is an ardent supporter of Liverpool FC and a dedicated cricket enthusiast.

Kenneth Campbell is Chairman of the Energy Efficiency Association CiC, Co-Founder of the National Energy Efficiency Awards and Director of Campbell Braybrooke Ltd. As Association Chairman, Kenneth has a particular interest in new energy efficient technologies,investment in and funding for energy efficiency, supply chain delivery, and skills and training for the energy efficiency sector. Kenneth has Bachelor of Science degree from Glasgow University where he studied Computer Science along with Biochemistry and Physiology.

Brian Whittle was born in 1964 and grew up in Troon. After attending Marr College, Kilmarnock College and Glasgow University he began a career as an industrial chemist working for ICI at Ardeer. After retiring from professional athletics he spent several years in business as a director of various companies including ones working in events management and most recently developing software for the healthcare industry. Brian was elected as a Member of the Scottish Parliament for South Scotland in 2016 and served as the party’s spokesperson for Public Health Mental Health, Wellbeing & Sport. His particular area of interest is in how Scots from all backgrounds can have access to as many opportunities as possible to be more active.Brian was re-elected in 2021 as a South Scotland Regional MSP and has been appointed Shadow Minister for the Environment, Biodiversity and Land Reform. He also serves on Holyrood’s Covid-19 Recovery Committee.

Willie grew up in Strathmiglo, Fife and from an early age he learned the importance of public service. After graduating, he moved to Cornwall to work for the Liberal Democrats and honed the campaigning skills that would serve him well later in life. In 2011, he was selected by party members to top the Regional List for Mid-Scotland and Fife at the 2011 Scottish Parliament elections. After his election to the Scottish Parliament in 2011, hebecame leader of the Scottish Liberal Democrats. Under his leadership, the Scottish Liberal Democrat team at Holyrood delivered new funding for colleges, extra help for families with the cost of childcare and held the SNP Government’s feet to the fire over local court closures, police centralisation and the state of the Scottish NHS. In 2021 he stepped down as leader and became the party’s spokesperson for Education, the Economy & Communities.

Dr Alasdair Allan MSP grew up in the Scottish Borders and now lives in the Isle of Lewis. He attended Glasgow and Aberdeen Universities, gaining a PhD in Scots Language in 1998. Alasdair was elected MSP for the Western Isles in 2007. He became Minister for Learning, Science and Scotland's Languages in 2011 and was then Minister for International Development and Europe from 2016 to 2018. Prior to becoming an MSP, Alasdair was senior media relations officer for the Church of Scotland, and was named Gaelic journalist of the year in 2006. He was the National Secretary of the SNP from 2003 to 2006. When time allows, he sings with the Back District Gaelic Choir in Lewis, with whom he has competed in the National Mod.

James Frame has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. James began their career at Douglas Park BMW, where they held positions as a Technician, Senior Customer Service Advisor, and Warranty Administrator from 2002 to 2014. In 2014, James joined MSX International as a BMW Warranty Development Consultant & Auditor. James worked closely with BMW AG and BMW UK Ltd, providing training and auditing BMW, MINI, and Motorrad Retail Centres in the UK and Ireland. James later expanded their role to include auditing BMW importers worldwide. From 2014 to 2023, they played a pivotal role in ensuring warranty compliance and developing efficient warranty processes. As of 2023, James currently holds the position of Audit Operations Manager at Ofgem. James manages the Non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive audit program, which ensures compliance with incentive regulations for participants. This role is vital in contributing to the UK's goal of achieving Net Zero emissions. Throughout their career, James has demonstrated their expertise in audit operations, warranty development, and customer service. James has also gained extensive experience in collaborating with global automotive companies and contributing to important sustainability initiatives.
